Job Description The Summer Internship Program is a competitive 8-10 week program that creates an environment for college students to learn under the Creative Director and be inspired by fashion, retail, sales, and social media. You will have the opportunity to have an inside look at what goes on behind-the-scenes of a fashion brand. As a Summer 2017 Intern with Samantha Leibowitz new york, you will benefit from professional development events and meetings. This is an unpaid internship program that will begin in June and conclude the first week of August. Interns will have the opportunity to visit the factories as we are #iamamericanmade, fabric vendors that are located in the Garment District of Manhattan, day road trips, and on site photo shoots. Summer Interns should intend to build professional relationships while building their resumes and contacts. As an Intern, expect to contribute to the company individually and as a team member within design, sales, and social media/pr departments. Typical days and hours include Monday-Thursday 10am-5pm The program is open to college sophomores, juniors, and seniors College credit is not required, but we will sign off on documentation as necessary Please note that we do not offer summer housing The Corporate location is in Manhattan right outside the NYC Garment District Summer 2017 Internship Positions: Blogging Intern Social Media/Public Relations Intern Design Intern Executive Assistant Intern Minimum Requirements College: 1 year Understand this is an unpaid position, but can receive academic credit Excited about the fashion industry as well as self-motivated, passionate, and hard working.
